How to Succeed in Close-up Photography
Gene Barlow, User Group Relations
Close-up or macro photography is an exciting area of digital photography. Since the pictures you get are usually ones you would not see in normal life, they are very interesting to the viewer. Seeing things close-up is something you don’t always enjoy seeing. There are many ways you can do close-up photography and we will explore the most popular ways that are used and give information about why one approach works better than others. My personal favorite close-up photography is wild flowers. I will try to cover some of the challenges of shooting excellent close-up photos of wild flowers so that you can control the shot to get the very best possible pictures. Throughout the presentation, I will use my wife and my wild flower photos to demonstrate the do’s and the don’ts of close-up photography. Hopefully, you will learn some techniques by attending this session that will improve your own close-up photography. Gene will also talk about the importance of backing up so you don’t lose your beautiful photos.
